Is This A Job Revolution?

Hyper work is a new term that is coming out recently due to the changes took place during the recent years when workers recognized the importance of self-care, mental health, and enjoying life. Some workers are back to the offices and do not mind to spend all the working hours at the office away from the home. Meanwhile, the other half of the workers are looking for a balanced life style, where they would have the freedom to work remotely (whatever that remotely means to them). Some of these workers are willing to quit their jobs even if they are making 6 figures salary. They just prefer to have a better mental health, and enjoy life more with less stress.

All these changes,  in addition to the explosion of the technology (including social media platforms) that created other income streams; require a new working environment and protocol for working, and seek different setting for different types of jobs.

I believe we need to look at the type of the job, keep improving the work environment including the schedule flexibility, the skills of the workers and consider to adapt a completely new approach to the carrier and job market.

Is this period about the job revolution? Could be. However, we do need more research, more experts and more leaders who care about evolving both human beings and economic system.

Article: Your brain has limits. Here are some simple ways to extend your mind, according to science

Our brain is not limited to the one that is located in our skull only. To make a decision, to solve a problem, or to create new ideas; needs more than sitting quietly in a closed room and running our thoughts.

We, as educators and researchers, dependent on social and peer learning in teaching, which this article highlights as a tool to expand our brain. In the same vien, moving around, connect with the nature would also expand our brain. Such approach allies with my usual advice to find a solution for complicated problems: get the main points of the problem and go for a long walk, then start to work on the solution.

The article also stated that the brain and the body are so much related and can’t be separated, aren’t we always say that: the good brain needs a good body?

It is an interesting article that opens many channels for us to thrive. Don’t you think so?

Article: Exactly how to approach your goals so you make meaningful progress (and quit procrastinating)

KAIZEN is the magic word here. Have you heard it before? I m sure you came across it somewhere related to the best practices that the Japanese Toyota followed to achieve success.

However, you can apply this approach to your daily life to achieve your goals, but you need to start with small goals where you prepare, work, evaluate then replan, and so forth.

It is very much reminding me of the human performance technology that I use to solve organizations’ problems and help them to level up and Thrive.

The article gives examples of how to employ this approach to get things done and grow.

What is it keeping you motivate to get work done?
