The Money Fever

Nowadays the survival skills differ from yesterday. Among today’s needed skills is networking skills. So in the spirit of networking, I decided to use the help of the social media different platforms. I started with Facebook (I put it on hold for the last seven years), and started looking to join groups for women entrepreneurs, or for coaching. I wanted to help other women, and add my two cents, as much as my time allows. Also, I thought I can have a discussion with like minded women about vital business issues. But what I found shocked me. These ladies (or gents) who name themselves “entrepreneurs” know nothing about business , marketing, planning, or niche. In addition, they do not have ideas to transfer to business. They don’t know what to work with. All they ask is: any ideas to make money online? Any ideas to start a business? If you don’t have the idea, if you don’t have a solution for a problem, if you don’t don’t know any gaps to bridge, then why you call yourself : an entrepreneur?

What I found is that people want to make quick money without even getting thier brain to work.

All this could be fine. But the big problem is that they either believe they know and don’t want to invest in themselves and get educated, or they just jump into the arms of any online business courses (expensive though), without even checking the educational or business background, then they claim: education is nonsense.

Is it the money fever? Or is it the social media effects? What do you think?

Are you back?

When life takes you away from a dear friend that you have been thinking about all time, what would you do? Nothing really,  just being patient till the circumstances change and a new one would facilitate your gathering….

When I was younger, I would not believe in such a thing called “circumstances”. I always believed that we create our own circumstances, our own opportunities, our own luck, our own life.

Older I get, stubborn I become about my “creating” believes, because I can see how I turned my life around by creating opportunities, and luck. All this luck was a pure hard working and a dream I kept holding on it no matter how life would steer me away from it.

To be honest with you, I never thought of dropping my dreams away, no matter how impossible it seemed… I worked harder with more determination, although everything around me asks me to leave.

And I did it. And I am on my way to achieve all my other dreams …

But nowadays I have learnt something new.. Beside that belief of creating my own circumstances, I believe something is needed: a push,  a sign, someone, a  “something” (whatever you call it) that would help me creating this circumstance, just to be easier and smoother . .

The following blogs will unveil more and more about it… Because I am back, back to my old dear friends..

yes, you are a PhD…..?

There are important issues that play a main role in your life while you are working for your PhD. these issues are the best kept secret for each PhD student, who just figure them out himself, or herself. i will share some with you.

through your PhD journey, you must believe in yourself. Yes, you know better. yes you work harder, and yes you deserve this title. you need to start to practice to call yourself Dr.  (scary ..eh?) this will give you the motivation to keep running when you feel that you cant go further, or you are tired, or just fed up…
you cant just feel tired. you are almost there. and you deserve to be called on the stage when you graduate as a dr. keep this image in your head, it will give the needed support for your PhD life.

then you need to live the life of the PhD ..not PhD student, but PhD graduate…meaning, you need  to be responsible about what you write and what you publish and what kind of ideas you develop and share. You have to learn to act alone without the support of your supervisor or your committee. You need to stand alone as a PhD graduate who understands the responsibilities and consequences of his or her cognitive work. You need to have your own agenda..your own dream and your own work…at the end, PhD is a unique contribution to your own field…right?

any more ideas you like to share? please feel free to add your comments here….
